How do you find your foundation shade?

And blush?

Any techniques?

What do I do?

Please help!!?How do you find your foundation shade?
depending on where you go... let's say u go to Walmart and you see 2 shades that look close to your shade, go ask someone who works near the makeup department and ask them for a sample to put on yourself. So they'll take the 2 shades you picked out and they'll apply them to your cheek. Then u get to decide what one matches your skin tone better! So that way you don't have to buy both and have one not work.

Or you can do what i did. I did what i just wrote above. One of the foundations didn't have as much color as my natural skin tone and the other was a little too pink. I bought both of them and mixed them together to get the perfect combo!

For blush... i'm pretty sure u can do the same thing. Just ask someone who works there to try it on as a sample. Otherwise if they don't let u do that then i would fing a light color blush that u think would compliment your skin tone. That's what i did and i picked a good one.How do you find your foundation shade?
compare the foundations thats close to your skin tone/color on the jawline or neck.

if its liquid, get a triangular sponge and put amount size of foundation

and dot it on both cheeks, forehead, and chin

then blend it.

for mineral just get minerals on your brush and sweep it gently around your face.

choose any blush if you want and sweep to your cheek bones.

but make sure it isn't to cakey.
The color of the foundation sholdbe as close to the color of your neck as possible, since thiswhere it ultimately has to meet.Foundation should never feel like you are wearig a mask,if it does then you have too much on.
1. Determine your skin tone: cool, neutral, warm???

2. Determine your shade intensity: fair, medium, dark???

Here's a link to a site that has some pictures and chart to help you determine it.

They have lotsa samples too...then you could try them on one at a time to figure it out. Take a mirror outside in the daylight and see how it looks too. Inside light can be way off.
