Does Almay Smart Shade Foundation also work for African American skin color?

No, I saw it on the View! The new technology sort of blends because it senses your body temperature but you have to rub it a lot and it does not cover well. Plus, the color just makes the skin appear grayish. They still haven't perfected it for darker tones, especially for better coverage.

Honestly, most name-brand makeup companies focus on lighter skinned customers. It is just recently they are getting more shades for us darker-skinned people. I mean, no offense, but what's the difference between ivory and beige? Come on! But there are so many shades of brown- from light skinned girls to the deepest ebony. Covergirl has the Queen line that has amazing shades and so does Maybelline somewhat but it's still hard to find the right shade. I have a medium brown tone with yellow undertones and it sucks to buy foundation! All the colors are too light and look chalky or too dark and make me look dull and dark.Does Almay Smart Shade Foundation also work for African American skin color?
It really depends on the shade. I have found in various lines that offer such a foundation often time MISS the darker hues. Sometimes it causes a ruddiness to the skin if you use this type of foundation.

People with darker skin usually have an orange, red or blue undertones and if you get a foundation with the opposing undertones, you tend to have a grey look to the skin, which means the foundation does not match.Does Almay Smart Shade Foundation also work for African American skin color?
They make 6 different shades ranging from ';ivory'; to ';tan';. I have fair skin but the smart shade foundation doesn't do much for me. It only seems to moisturize, it doesn't really cover anything up.
yes, they have 3 different kinds, one for pale, one for medium, and one for dark :D
i would think so
