Selecting a shade of foundation/tinted moisturizer?

I am buying a tinted moisturizer tomorrow at my local CVS.

1. Are you allowed to try on makeup at CVS?

2. Are there any tricks to selecting a color without trying it on first?

3. Do you recommend any brand/type of tinted moisturizer? I'm looking for something under $10.

Thanks in advance :]Selecting a shade of foundation/tinted moisturizer?
i know a really good one by clinique but its a little over 10 dollars. for more fashion and make up tips go to

  • Foundation always being a different shade than your neck?

i've tried many foundations out there and they always seem fine in the stores but once i go outside they always are a different shade than my neck. is there any way to prevent this or correct it?Foundation always being a different shade than your neck?
that's why you need to let them put foundaiton on your face. take a good mirror with you and step outside in the sun and see if you like it. the reason that is happening to you is that the lightening in stores are not natural so it can be deceiving. make sure you also take a friend with you to tell you how it looks under the sun or in your house or wherever there is natural lighting!Foundation always being a different shade than your neck?
when you go to buy foundation, go somewhere like a department store where they have beauty counters and can help you. although i have found that they usually don't get the shade right for me, you can try on different shades and formulas and then pop outside to see how they look in the sun. also try blending more than one shade to customize it to your skin.

    good luck!
well, truthfully i used to put the foundation all over my face too however the way to solve this problem is less foundation. i put a dab on nose on forehead chin and under eyes then blend. my whole face does not get covered and it is a very light layer. on accent areas ya know. then you will have a more flwless look. use your bronzer to do the rest, that you lightly dust face and neck. then you can go in any light and look great
You need to try a different shade, or maybe a different brand. And PLEASE blend your makeup from your jawline down to your neck so it's not as noticeable if it is different.
i had the same problem. get a tinted moisturizer instead. does the same thing, but its better for your skin and it blends easier.
that means you have the wrong shade.

Clinque which foundation which shade? I have dry/blemished skin want good coverage which shade i have blue?

I would not use clinique. I have used Clinique in the past, I thought it was good at the time but never realized it was the cause of breakouts due to the chemical ingredients they use. Mainstream brands use a very large amount of chemicals in their skincare and cosmetics that break you out and you may not even know it. It is called ';chemical induced acne';. There is no reason you should have dry skin and blemishes. If you have both your skin is not in harmony right now. You are using to harsh of a cleanser system or it can be due to the propelyne glycol or other petrol ingredients in your foundation. I am telling you this because I have been through all the tesing and studies myself, being in the field. You want a product that wil cover and will not break you out. I use Faerie Organic Mineral foundation on all my clientele as it is good for your skin, can actually help clear up acne (due to a mineral they use called boron nitried which is antibacterial and zinc oxide which is anti-inflammatory). This is the best thing you can use on your skin. It covers very well, and leaves a healthy glow. They have free sample kits and I recommend them to everybody, because they really work. You can get free samples here...http://www.faerieorganic.com They have great customer service, I would also ask for samples of cleanser and moisturizer in your case as I think they would really help your skin to not be blemished and dry. Good luck!
If you are prepared to spend on the right foundation? i would go to the estee lauder counter they will give you samples you can try at home if you ask that way you get to see the effect of the foundation on your face at home,

How many times do we end up with the wrong foundation all of us will have at least one bottle stashed that is no good to us.

I have never gone wrong with estee lauder, no mistakes with colour or coverage as i try them out at home, so even though they are about 拢20+ you get it right

If you don't like the samples on your skin at home make a note of the foundation and colour and go back and get some more to try
Clinique's ok, but need a photo of your skin %26amp; that'd still be hard to match on the internet. You're generally paying big bucks just for the name. Try a great one that's been around for a while %26amp; is tryable before you buy %26amp; is guaranteed, like Mary Kay..
Sheer Cover is the best makeup.

their concealer is amazing and the foundation looks natural.

it's way better for your skin that clinique

it has green tea and spf 15, and it comes with a moisturizer for your skin.

Personally...have someone match your skin tone.

The makeup artists at the counters are good at this.

Everyone needs two different foundations b/c our skin is lighter in the winter b/c we don't get as much sun.

I just use bare minerals so I'm not clogging up my pores and I can put on a powder that gives an airbrush effect (mineral veil). The powder doesn't look like I have any makeup on, like a canvas.

Your skin loves to breathe! Can someone please tell me what shade foundation i need?
i would suggest u have someone at the store match u even if we could see ur pic, it would be very hard to tell since monitors are different.

How do i choose the right shade of foundation?

im buyin foundation for the first time.

[i never needed it until now]

im gonna buy it myself. im not fortunate enough to go to an expensive place and have it matched to my skin color. ..

i have to stick with a drug store for now.

so when i pick it out, what part of my face/body do i match it to?

should it be darker or lighter than my skin shade?

btw, thanks ahead for the answers =]How do i choose the right shade of foundation?
dont test it on your hands, instead pick three shades thats closest to your skin tone and whichever one blends into your skin(disappears) then thats your shade.

hope this helpsHow do i choose the right shade of foundation?
You wanna know the best foundation? it is actuall the first foundation ever! The best cover up and so easy to apply and is so cheap like $7 ($10 the most)...and its water proof...so long lasting... best with photo shoots and hids any scars or acne you are trying to hids... Max Factor...I'm not joking if i was then how come i use it? I haven't heard anything bad about Max Factor but every make up artist I worked with loves it! So if i was you give it a shot maybe you'll like it!

    Max Factor is the name....
Try puritycosmetics,co,uk. It is really good!
match it to the back of the wrist wear the vains are and if it matches that then there you go.. or you could go to sallys and ask what color..

What shade of chanel pro lumiere foundation do i need?!?

i have light olive coloured skin and i was wondering wich of the pro lumiere foundation from chanel would suit me best ? thanks xx :) !What shade of chanel pro lumiere foundation do i need?!?
im sorry i have no idea i dont use makeup (not allowed) :[[

if you're going to the mall to get it, ask the salespeople. if you plan to get it online or something, like, http://uma.chanel.com/-makeup-face-foundation-pro-lumiere-professional-finish-makeup-spf-15-/product/MAFMU54Y, dont get shell or soft bisque. too rosy for olive skin.

im sorry i cant really help. :(What shade of chanel pro lumiere foundation do i need?!?
Ohh i have that foundation is fantastic, absolutely love it and looks so natural. i would say the beige or natural, if you have more of a orange look then beige.

Seriously, can't find right shade of foundation?

I've been back to the Clinique counter at least 3, 4 times in the past 3 months - all because I'd find that my shade is way too dark or too light... It always looks fine when I look at it in the store (usually by the door where the sunlight is).

Is there any hope? Do these Clinique workers have any idea what they're doing?Seriously, can't find right shade of foundation?
Try a different brand and don't be afraid to mix colors.Seriously, can't find right shade of foundation?
To be honest... just because someone works in cosmetics, doesn't neccessarily mean they can apply or give best makeup advice.

Try other places... or do what I did.

Experiment with different stuff until YOU know what works for you. My ethnicity is ';Black';, and it's not easy finding my color(s). My skin tone is not dark, but the light shades are TOO light. You may find yourself using two shades of foundation. Especially if you have uneven skin tone.

    TRUST ME... THERE'S HOPE!

    BUT...

Nope! Those Clinique workers don't have any idea...

or maybe they're not too experienced to work will ALL colors!
yeah clinique arent great at matching colours, the lady who advised me got it three shades wrong. dont look at it in the store. u must go outside to have a proper look. im too pale for even their lightest in the superbalaned foundation range, the alabaster, but their color ranges are better than some. see if you can get them to give you a little tester pot then go home and try it in front of the mirror where you usually apply your make up. best of luck...
well if you ask them they should help you find the right one but if that doesn't work:

Get a few different ones and put a streak of it on your cheek and let it dry a little because they can get lighter or darker when they dry. Then when you find one that fits just make sure you're blending it in completely
idk find a medium shade one that is not too dark or not too light u know a medium shade maybe the perfect thing

i doubt your allowed to try on makeup there, you might wanna go to sephora, the makeup is a little pricey, but the consultants will help you and actually do your makeup for you and tell you whats best for your skin and what goes best togetherr, and also, a trick to picking out foundations, match the shade with your neck, and you still might want to try a little bit on if you can, even if they say you can't, just do a little bit, cause if you don't try it, it might turn out being completely different than you thought, trust me, i've had a lot of issues with that stuff lol, good luckk (:

I am a Asian Indian with dark complexion and I use Bare Escentuals. I have been using it for abt a yr and so far it has worked great with my super sensitive skin. Really good products and wide vareity of colors
Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals have come out with newer shades for women of color - Try it - or better yet, if you have a Sephora or Ulta near you (or even a Bare Escentuals store) just TRY it - it will blend so beautifully in your skin - and you will not get that reddish- clayish color (I know you know what I'm talking about) that regular foundations give for women of color. Just try it, I'm confident you will like it :)

    Good luck :)
Bare minerals has an awesome powder foundation it actually works and they do have makeup for women of color.

Is foundation supposed to be a shade lighter then your skin?

Is foundation supposed to be a shade lighter then your skin tone.Is foundation supposed to be a shade lighter then your skin?
No, your concealer is supposed to be one shade

lighter than your skin because it has more pigments

to help cover imperfections. While foundation sets

an even finish to the face so when you look at your

face you see one tone. So try your best to match

your foundation to the color of your face.Is foundation supposed to be a shade lighter then your skin?
No, foundation should blend and pratically become part of your skin tone...

I would match the best shade on a clean face, on jawbone and blen into neck.

If it matches, it is Perfect!

Understand too, with some drugstore brands generic colours and lack of shade gradients may require you to mix colours.

Consider having a lighter shade which matches your winter skin, and a more tanned shade. If you mix, usually you will find a great shade to wear all times!
you should not be able to see foundation at all it should blend right in w/ your skin.

you should re check your foundation with your skin color every 6 mos.
Like everyone else has said, it should match your skin. I have been using the mineral powder type foundations and find they are very easy to blend and look fantastic. You also do not have to worry about a separate concealer because you just take a small brush and blend the same powder to your spots before using the fluffy brush all over your face. It is also very quick!

If you really like liquid, Trublend by Covergirl is excellent and easy to match to your skin.
nope, i beliv its suposed to be 2 shades darker.
Foundation is not supposed to be lighter than your skin. When you purchase foundation it has to sort of blend into your skin. It has to exactly match your skin tone. Foundation is supposed to be like your second skin. A good way to know if the foundation is your perfect skin match is to do the Jaw-Line test. Pick about 3 shades that closely match your skin tone, and then apply it to your jaw-line in 3 streaks. Whichever color blends into your skin thats the one you want to go for and buy. But when it comes to picking concealer, the concealer is supposed to be lighter than your skin tone. I would suggest going 1 shade lighter. I hope this helped...good luck *_*

What is the lightest shade of MAC foundation?

I have VERY light skin... i tried NW15 i think... and was to dark! so whats the lighest shade of MAC???What is the lightest shade of MAC foundation?
I am a makeup Artist and I work for Mac.

Mac makes lighter shades than NW15 or NC15, but not in all of their foundations.

Studio Fix Plus Powder comes in C2, C3, and N3 ad N4, which are far lighter than NC15 or NW15:

    http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/spp.鈥?/a>

Face and Body comes only in one digit shades, such as N1, N2, C2, or C3, etc:

    http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/spp.鈥?/a>

Mineralize Powder Foundation comes in Light:

    http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/spp.鈥?/a>

    or

    http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/spp.鈥?/a>

If you live near a Mac Pro (or you can order by calling the 1-800#), try Hyperreal Pressed Powder in Extra Light

    or try these other companies:

Powder always tends to be lighter than liquids, even if they have the same number or color name. So I would say you would have best luck with them. There are a lot of powder foundations that are very light and may be just right for your skin color. If you prefer liquid, opt for a sheerer liquid and get the lightest shade they offer.

Here's a list of foundations to look into:

    Stila Illuminating Powder Foundation ($28):

VERY light shades, see ';10 Watts';..

Shiseido Makeup Compact Foundation or Makeup Stick ($28.50-36):

    Shade B20 is extremely light.

Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Skin Enhancer ($45):

    SX02 is practically white.

    Hope this helps! :)

  • How do i find the correct shade of foundation for my skin color?

The best way is to go to a makeup counter and have yourself matched to a shade. Look at the makeup artist's foundation and see if it matches.

A good artist will take a few shades and ';swatch'; them on your face. 98% of people have a yellow undertone to their skin except for true alabaster red heads which have a pink tone. Most people don't realize their true undertone.

The swatch that disappears into your skin is the correct shade. Natural light is the best to see this in. Anything too light will look chalky and anything too dark will look orange or well... too dark.

The best place to get matched is the Bobbi Brown counter at your local department store. They are trained on how to match properly and her colors have the best range.

I'm a makeup artist. How do i find the correct shade of foundation for my skin color?
Try using several testers in the shop on your neck and then go outside into the natural light to see which one looks best and blends into your skin the most. Remember, don't try to make your skin darker using foundation, use bronzer and fake tan for this. The foundation should disappear into your natural skin colour, covering any imprefections. How do i find the correct shade of foundation for my skin color?
Try a dab of it on the side of your cheek from the tester pot in the store, then go outside into natural light (make sure you bring a little mirror with you) and look at the patch.. If it is almost ';invisible'; on your skin - (so it has blended in and doesn't stick out as an orange patch on white skin or a white/pink patch on dark skin) - then it matches your skin perfectly. Good luck :)
go to ur nearest sephora, ulta, or macy and they match u up for free! also at sephora they give u samples so go pick up a few and try then til u find the one u are comfortable with!
put some on your jaw line. and when you go to buy it, ask the employees for help matching it. they'll be happy to help you

Don't buy this stuff, it's a total scam. I tried it on myself, my fiance, and piece of tissue paper and it turned the same color each time. It apparently just has little beads of dye in it that break when you rub it in.

The color matches your skin really well, at least for me. It's kind of sheer coverage, so if you're looking to cover something up really well you're going to want to choose something else.

Don't buy this stuff, it's a total scam. I tried it on myself, my fiance, and piece of tissue paper and it turned the same color each time. It apparently just has little beads of dye in it that break when you rub it in.

I reccommend ';TruBlend'; which is made by...Maybelline? Cover Girl? I'm not sure sure. But it blends very well. It left my skin a little greasy, but then again my skin is greasy anyway.Does anybody own Almay Smart Shade Foundation? Is it good?
The color matches your skin really well, at least for me. It's kind of sheer coverage, so if you're looking to cover something up really well you're going to want to choose something else.
    I bought some....Its complete crap!!

Barely covers, streaks easy, and after awhile, everything in the bottle goes orange.
i hate almay foundation - it doesnt even cover up

    try l'oreal true match

I've heard it has horrible coverage and if you're really fair, it makes you look dark or orange. If you're buying drugstore foundation, I reccomend Revlon custom Creations.
i tried my friends, who had the one for dark skin, and i have realtively fair skin. it worked really well for me, so im sure if i tried the one for lighter skin shades it would work even better. i would reccomend it, just make sure to blend well or else you can see the streaks on it

I need to order the palest one, but I can't tell which one it is online. What is the lightest shade of L'Oreal True Match foundation called?
    It depends on your undertone.

If you have a warm undertone, your color is W1 - porcelin

If you have a cool undertone, your color is c1- alabaster

f you have a neutral undertone, your color is N1 - soft ivoryWhat is the lightest shade of L'Oreal True Match foundation called?
right now i am having the lightest shade of true match foundation in my hand .i always use this shade,it is called NEUTRAL.it is available in liquid and powder.
Im Pretty Sure Its Called Transparent It Gives Yew An All Over Even Complexion With Out Making Yew Look Orange

    b
alabaster that's what i use and i have really fair skin
It depends on your skin tone. Are you warm or cool tone? You would be better off going to somewhere like Boots and doing a test, l'Oreal do tend to be very pale. I am pale skinned but have to go for a warmer shade with their products. I used L'Oreal for a while but have now gone onto Bourjois (also available from Boots) and it is a much nicer consistency and does not clog as much. Worth a try, think that mine is Rose Beige which is next to the lightest shade and perfect for me.

i use loreal bare natural mineral makeup #464. others i have turned onto this makeup, most are using the same number but a couple of them have switched to #462. i just absolutely love this makeup. you can get it in the finishing powder (just like the bare minerals mineral veil) and you can also get the bronzer. this makeup covers great, you can wear as little or as much as you want. a little goes a long way.

If your foundation is one shade too dark for you can you mix it with your moisturiser to tone it down ?

Will this work ?If your foundation is one shade too dark for you can you mix it with your moisturiser to tone it down ?
Mixing foundation and lotion wouldn't make the foundation any lighter (it's not like mixing white foundation) it just makes it more sheer. I love to mix my foundation with lotion for that exact reason.

If your foundation is just one shade too dark, you could try it and see if it helps any, but instead, you could go buy one shade lighter of the same brand/type and then mix those two together and it would probably compliment your skin tone well (esp. if you picked out the first one for that reason).

Almay makes a smart shade foundation (it supposedly creates a perfect balance for your skin color) that I'm interested in trying-you might want to look into that and see if that works for you tooIf your foundation is one shade too dark for you can you mix it with your moisturiser to tone it down ?
    I'm not sure....

If foundation is the wrong color, it was always look fake. I would go to Macys and go to a makeup counter for foundation. They can find the right type of foundation and the right color for you. It's very helpful!

everyone no matter the race has a different skin tone.

  • I have trouble finding the right shade in Foundation?

I'm fair skin but i either buy foundation that is either to dark or to light any tips on how to find the right tone!!!?I have trouble finding the right shade in Foundation?
You have my sympathies! I've been told I'm neither light nor medium - cool nor warm. In every category I fall somewhere in-between, which makes it tricky when selecting cosmetics.

One way I've worked around this is to buy two different colors in whatever brand of foundation I'm using, so I can blend my own custom color. (Of course, if you use a higher-end brand of cosmetics, this option can get pricey....)

Another thing that was most helpful for me...I went to see a professional makeup artist who was visiting the cosmetics counter at a local department store. She ';typed'; me as more cool than warm, more light than fair, and told me my undertones were pink. (I had been inadvertently fighting that pink for years...so many times my foundation would me look pasty or sort of grayish, and I never understood why.)

Getting the advice of an expert was the best thing I could have done. I would recommend that for everyone who wears make-up! It has literally revolutionized the way I select all my colors now - whether foundation, eye, cheek or lip color. Now I know what I need to choose these things like a pro, and it has worked!

Knowing your undertones, whether you are cool, warm or neutral, truly fair, light, or light-to-medium will go a long way in helping you select colors for yourself, no matter what brand of foundation you're using. Even if you think you already know these things, get a second opinion from someone who works with cosmetics. You won't regret it.

Good luck!I have trouble finding the right shade in Foundation?
    I had the same problem.

But then I bought Loreal true match Liquid foundation

    In the lightest warm shade.

    Porcelian I think.

    It covers beautifully.

And no one knows Im wearing foundation.
Foudation is hard to find... I suggest you go try on a couple of different tones at different makeup places like go to MAC, Bobbi Brown, NARS, and also try the ones you can buy at drug stores like covergirl and mayebelline. You covergirl has their true match blend that work with all different skin shades an tones like fair, beige, dark skin and also cool(more blue shades in your skin) or warm tones(red and yellow tones) You also don't have to buy just one foundation you can always mix a darker and lighter one to make the perfect foundation for your skin tone.
if your really having trouble, see a makeup counter employee at a mac or sephora store, %26amp; they'll help you find your perfect match..

also when your finding a match dab it on the inside of your wrist ( if possible ) or just hold it up next to it.. that's the easiest way to find your color. %26lt;3
I do the same thing. I have very fair skin and every time I buy foundation, it is too dark. I buy the lightest shade possible and only use it on the flaws I want to hide, not my entire face, then I blend it in with my fingers or a tissue very well.

Try Wet 'n' Wild liquid foundation and Almay foundation stick.
where ever you buy your makeup there shoulld be a beauty consultant and ask for help they will help u
A BIG tip is; when you arwe buying the foundation DO NOT dab/hold up the foundation to your wrist/arm/erc..look at the color then at YOUR FACE, this is because not everyone is the same shade on their arms and the face area..do to uneven tanning. and when you find one that is a TAB BIT darker than your natural color..you have found the perfect foundation!
The way to match make-up to your skin tone is to apply some onto your jaw line and blend. The foundation that disappears is the color you need. Good Luck!

People who wear Maybelline foundation what shade do YOU wear?

When I used to wear the Pure Maybelline foundation I wore it in tan but it was to dark. I had to mix it with a lighter shade because that shade was to dark. How do u work out what shade of foundation i am?

.......How do u work out what shade of foundation i am?
The inside of your arm is supposed to be a good place to match your correct shade. So go to the cosmetics counter and swatch up your arm. Then decide which one is the closest match. If none seems close enough, you have the option of blending more than one shade. How do u work out what shade of foundation i am?
if you were to do it yourself then you should get a bit of foundation, dab it on your jaw and blend up. then if the shade matches your neck, then it is your shade.
i had my foundation matched to my skin by clinique and i would really recommend that foundation.
Ask the wonderful girls at the cosmetic counter to help you with it...!
Ask at a counter like MAC or,

My Maybelline Super Stay 24hr foundation shade ?

My Revlon ColorStay shade is 110 Ivory .

What is my maybelline shade ?

I think my skin tone is fair.My Maybelline Super Stay 24hr foundation shade ?
You should take the bottle of Revlon to the store with you and compare the shades to find a match. A lot of times, it's hard to find the identical shade with a different brand. That's the problem with buying drugstore brands, you can't always find the best match for the skin tone. If it doesn't match, you can always return it.

I have foundation a tad too light for my complexion. Is it possible to mix two shades to get desired shade?

yup not a problem at all, and you can use the lighter one to highlight areas that the sun would hit, bridge of nose, tops of cheekbones, and it will make them ';glow';I have foundation a tad too light for my complexion. Is it possible to mix two shades to get desired shade?

I have foundation a tad too light for my complexion. Is it possible to mix two shades to get desired shade?
actually, it's good to have 2 shades of foundation so you can blend then, since your skin tone changes throughout the year
    Yup.

Try to stick with the same brand though...and you should always use a makeup sponge to mix and apply it.

    :)
Absolutely. That is the right way of finding the right shade.
yes. as long as you have a foudation a tad too dark you should be able to crush and mix them. It will all work out for you. if it is not that notacible though i wouldnt worry about the lightness of it. as long as it doesnt look bad.
if its the same type of make-up. because mixing two different messed up the effect and the oils and non-oils. so YES for same type of make-up!
    uhm....duh
dont waste your money trying to mix foundations to get the right shade. go to the department store and have someone help you find the correct shade (the help doesnt cost anything). but otherwise, just put some powder brozer over with a big, fluffy brush to get the right shade.
Mix a Bit of Bronzer and you should get the right color!
do you use liquid or powder?? I swear by the mineral powder, as it is great for your skin...does not clog pores like liquid... Bare Minerals is great and you can totally combine shades to get the desired effect....
yes I always use a bronzer with my make-up that way my skin looks natural and not too white.
I do it all the time!
no, it will end up looking like too much color

Is concealer a shade lighter or darker than foundation?

I need to get some concealer to cover up some scars left over from the chicken pox as my normal foundation doesn't cover them.

I've only ever worn foundation and then the other make up on top of that (blusher, eye shadow). I know you don't get the same shade as your foundation but I can't remember if you go a shade lighter or darker.

Can someone help please. Is concealer a shade lighter or darker than foundation?
It's usually a shade lighter because people use it under their eyes. I use a concealer pallet by makeup forever, to cover scars I would use the clay colour. Is concealer a shade lighter or darker than foundation?
Neither....it should match your natural skintone, just like your foundation. The point is to get a seamless look to blend in your imperfections, and not to look as if you're wearing makeup. If you buy it a shade lighter, you'll get the racoon/highlighted look, and if you buy a shade darker, it will only bring attention to the blemish/scar. Make sure to apply concealer after foundation, or else it will be wiped off when you apply your foundation.
    Ok

NEVER go darker. I really wouldn't recommend going lighter as well unless you are using them it for under eye (the reason you go one shade lighter for under eye is to counteract the dark circles) I would try to go to a counter to test out the shades/get color matched as it also depends on what you are trying to cover up.
concealer is one shade lighter than your SKIN color not your foundation color!!
    its usually lighter.

ive been told that one should always use a concealer one shade lighter that your foundation around dark eye circles.... is this true and any advise on how to apply foundation and an eye concealer that looks flawless.Ive been told that one should always use a concealer one shade lighter that your foundation around dark circle
I recomend getting a little concealer stick strictly for darkcircles. Thestick takes away the darkness then you apply your normal concealer and tada! it's fixed! They actually make sticks strickly for dark circles.Ive been told that one should always use a concealer one shade lighter that your foundation around dark circle
Yellow concealer gets rid of dark circles
noooooo!!! although it seems logical, it wont be good! you have to match the concealor EXACTLY to your skin tone. thats the whole point of concealor. to give the illusion that your regular skin is even by covering up these circles. if it doesn't completely cover these dark circles, add a heavier application!

the same rule applies to foundation. you need to match the product to your skin tone to make it loor great on you. this might mean that you might need to buy a couple of shades to mix to make it match but its worthit. when you find the product that blends and dissapears into your skin, thats the right one.
yes... since dark circles are darker than your regular skin tone you should go for a lighter shade. to make it look flawless, just blend it really good, then top with a powder of your regular shade.... pressed or loose, whichever you prefer.

The best way to put find your perfect color is by going to the store swatching a small bit on the back of your hand, slightly blending it, then going out in natural light (OUTSIDE) to see what color goes best with you. This is why going to sephora or ulta is the best place to get makeup because they have samples of the product for you to try out, yes ulta does sell maybelline and other drug store products but they do not have samples of the product for you to test like other brands they carry there like urban decay
